What Animals Eat Bats?

There are varieties of predators that can be an issue for a bat life. Where they can prey on bats, it totally depends on the place and the situation. The size of species matters for the predators; stronger the prey means they are going to fight for their survival, they can be tough prey for their predators. When we talk about the bird predators, they find bat as delicious food. Primary predators of bat are hawks and owls as both stay active at night, and when the bat comes out, they can prey on them very easily. The owl is more interested in prey on the bat, and they have the power to capture them when they are flying.

• Owl
• Hawks
• Raccoons
• Snake

Snake
Snakes are the main predators of bats. They can blend and mix up their body with the tree and leaf that carry fruits. They can reach the bat houses easily; especially they are at high risk in the hot weather.  In some places, raccoons and weasels are also considered as bat predators. They often hide around the areas where bat sleeps and wait when they will come or get out of their sleeping place as they come out the prey on them in no time.  Some of the spiders are considered as a secondary predators for small bats (young babies). 

Cat
If the bat is living in the urban areas or near to a cat house, then they are at risk of becoming prey by a cat. Although most of the cats do not like to eat bats, they will definitely kill them to harm them or just to play with them.  Although bat try to live away from the population and they had their houses where predators cannot reach easily. The flight in speed so most of the predators cannot capture them easily, but still, they remain in danger because of the primary predators. 

Human
The biggest predator of the bats is human. According to them, they are rodents and can cause serious diseases. Yes, they contain a bad odor and if they lived somewhere into the house like balcony and them for sure going to poop over there.  Another reason is they produce so rapidly and then it got difficult to get rid of them, so they try to kill them on the initial stage.  Human does not like them at all, and they do not want them to live in their attic, tree, or anywhere else within the house. They may use their cats to capture them although they are not going to eat them at least they will help to get rid of them.  Other ways that can use are the use of a trap, and they can place several traps on the bat living place along with food; once they came near to it, they are going to trap in them.
